ROST!

i've been watching LOST for the last few hours. and it's fantastic to see everything back to back. you catch so much more when you are getting nothing but the adventures of jack, kate, sayid and sawyer. and, by the way, am totally in love with sawyer. have been from the start. i mean, when you see this man with his shirt off with those dimples shining away...mmm. you can sweet talk me anytime.

punkin' chunkin'

is the best show of engineering and american capabilities. people from around the nation create pumpkin launchers of varying materials and abilities. there are catapults, compressed-air launchers, trebuchets, and gravity ones. and all of them are awesome. i am enthralled by the abilities of these hicks. one guy, wearing a blue bandanna and a shirt that said "fat jimmy" on it started talking about the math and physics that went into his catapult. i had to take a double take of this fool. ...say what? i could barely pass basic algebra. thanks for that boost of self confidence, fat jimmy.
